GiveCare Labs / About

A world that
cares for caregivers.

Care holds everything else together. We build practical support for the people doing it—and shared foundations for everyone working to make care better.

From one family
to the wider field.

Caregiving reaches into health, money, work, relationships, and identity. Families need help with the next step. They also need institutions, technology, and public systems that understand the work they do.

GiveCare connects those scales. GiveCare develops caregiver support and reusable capabilities for organizations. GiveCare Labs is the research and public-interest arm: knowledge, tools, and ideas that can be useful beyond any one product.

Four ways to move care forward.

Individual needs. Shared infrastructure.
01 / Research

Technology worthy of trust.

InvisibleBench examines how AI responds to caregiving conversations. Open methods and evidence help builders see what needs to improve.

04 / Culture

Caregiving made visible.

GiveCare / In practice

A next step.
Less to carry.

Mira, GiveCare’s text-based assistant, helps caregivers work through a concern, find relevant resources, and return to what matters. We are also developing capabilities that partner organizations can use in their own workflows.

Support by text
A familiar way to ask for help, without another app.
Context over time
Less need to start the story again.
Resources with sources
Benefits and support options worth checking.
Check-ins and follow-up
Room for the caregiver’s own needs.

The founder

Ali Madad

Family caregiver.
Board-Certified Patient Advocate.
Designer and technology builder.

“What if we cared for the caregiver with the same attention we give the person receiving care?”

For seven years, Ali cared for both parents at home: his father with ALS and his mother with frontotemporal dementia. That experience became GiveCare. His work brings together lived experience, patient advocacy, design, and AI research to make support easier to reach and caregiving harder to overlook.

Working across the field.

Ali’s advisory roles, professional affiliations, and GiveCare’s collaborations connect caregiver experience with research, advocacy, and responsible technology.

Build something
others can build on.

For funders and collaborators, Labs offers a public-interest focus: research people can inspect, resources people can use, and work that strengthens the wider caregiving field. Evaluation findings describe system behavior; they do not establish clinical effectiveness.

GiveCare develops products and partner capabilities. Labs’ public work has its own purpose and audience. Any philanthropic project would need an agreed scope, budget, and clear boundaries around its use of funds.
